Milan looks good

A short drive out of Milan are the Lakes. Belaggio is on Lake Como, where Franz Liszt lived. Pliny the Younger and Virgil lived here as well in Roman times and called it the most beautiful place in the world. From the hills above you can see the Matterhorn. Lake Lugano overlaps into Switzerland. Lake Maggiore is surrounded by ancient towers and castles. Lakes Iseo, Idro and Orta are described as well. Milan Cathedral is the largest in Europe after St. Peters - 450 ft long - and La Scala opera house is here as well, where many of the world's greatest operas were first performed and still are today. Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper is in Milan, along with medieval palace museums filled with art by Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio, Piero della Francesca and other great artists. Historic towns in the shadow of the Alps here include Cremona, where Stradivarius, the violin-maker worked for 70 years, Brescia, Mantua, Pavia, Locarno - almost all retaining their medieval central sections.

Sterne takes title in playoffs

The South African, who trailed overnight leader Mark Murless by four shots at the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club, carded an impressive six-under-par 65 to finish level with Mulroy and Carlsson on 13 under. All three players birdied the first play-off hole but world number 44 Sterne then repeated the feat on the par-four 17th while compatriot Mulroy and Swede Carlsson could only manage pars. Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke also finished strongly with a three-under-par.Sterne's victory was his third European Tour title following wins at the Madrid Open in 2004 and last year's Wales Open at Celtic Manor. "It was actually quite enjoyable to be honest," said Sterne. "After the start I was quite far back and I knew I needed to get to 13 or 14 under." "I got close when I hit a couple great shots into the last. I thought 13 under was a good number and then I got close - I got 13 under in the end." "It was a tough day," he said. Any time you're favourite to win or anything like that, I think it's a little bit more pressure.

Rugby England: Cipriani eager to oust Wilko

Cipriani is seen by many as the man to do it. Wales coach Warren Gatland recently predicted the 20-year-old could even become a bigger superstar than Wilkinson.Cipriani allows none of that hype to faze him and is instead determined to learn all he can from Wilkinson - but also put the pressure on."It is obviously going to be a massive task to oust Jonny, he has done everything in the game but I am not coming here as number two," said Cipriani. "It is understandable that whenever Jonny has been fit he has started for England because he has done an amazing job. "Jonny has changed the face of rugby by himself. If I can learn from Jonny that will help me. "I will give it my best shot to improve. I need to make sure there are no doubts about me as a player. "If I was to have a chance to start a game I would do that to the best of my ability. "It is great to hear people like Warren say things like that - but in my eyes I haven't made it yet. I want to get an England cap and then one day be a regular starter."Wilkinson, who today signed a new two-year contract at Newcastle, was only 18 when Clive Woodward gave him his England debut in 1998. Cipriani is 20 but has been long tipped as an England international and, at Wasps, has been learning at the top end of European rugby. Last season, he started at full-back in the Heineken Cup final and only missed out on the World Cup squad, and achieving that long-held ambition, when the final cut was made.

There may be a counter, self-service where one pays at the counter, and/or coin-operated machines. Sometimes the area of sale is more like a self-service shop than a lobby (it is not suitable for consuming the goods), and one pays at the check-out between the shop and the area with the screens.

The facilities for buying snacks and drinks often represent the theater's primary source of profit since most of the ticket revenue goes to the film distributor (and onward to the movie studio). Some movie theaters forbid eating and drinking inside the viewing room (restricting such activities to the lobby), while others encourage it by fitting cup holders on the arm rests (on the front side of the arm rests of one's own chair, or the back side of the arm rests in front) and selling large portions of popcorn; also in that case bringing one's own food and drinks may be forbidden. Concessions is currently a huge area of expansion with many companies in the U.S. offering a wider range of snacks, including hot dogs and nachos. The noise of people eating, including the opening of wrappers, is frowned upon by some moviegoers.

Britney in trouble

american Idol judge Simon Cowell believes that the troubled pop star Britney Spears knows exactly what she is doing even though everyone thinks she is unstable.Pagesix.com reports him saying: "Everyone thinks it's breakdown this and breakdown that. From the kind of stunts she's pulling now, I think she is the puppet master and completely in control." He believes initially she was a victim of being in the press too much but she is now manipulating the whole show. He added: "I really felt for her at one point, I thought she was heading for a meltdown and everything was out of control, but, especially over the past week, I thought she was honestly in control and, more to the point, wants to be in control.

global warming a serious issue

Global warming is becoming a burden for many countries. They dont know how to control it.Global warming is issue that's ripe with lies and distortion. How many times have you heard that carbon dioxide is responsible for huge natural disasters that have killed millions of people? The truth is, it's actually the other way around: as CO2 has increased, deaths from extreme weather have decreased. Bet you'll never see that in an Al Gore slide show.It contains hundreds of these same how political correctness, special interests, and outright stupidity have gotten us so far away from the commonsense solutions this country was built on.But none can find a proper solution to the global warming.
